The neighborhood spot

Fresh salsas. Baja seafood. Big plates.

Mi Pequeña Hacienda is a fun, festive, casual neighborhood Mexican restaurant on Lansdowne Drive. The kitchen makes its sauces and salsas from scratch and cooks authentic Mexican food with a Baja California flair, from Tijuana-style tacos to aguachile and shrimp ceviche.

Owner Lorena Gallegos was born in Río Verde, San Luis Potosí, and grew up in Tijuana. She opened her first Lexington restaurant, Rincón Mexicano, on Euclid Avenue in 1991. Today the family runs two Hacienda dining rooms, here on Lansdowne and at Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville.
